Ian has changed careers and focus three times. His initial career as a senior manager in industry included positions at leading IT companies such as Sony, Honeywell and Bull Computer.
He then shifted focus to the voluntary sector, using his management and marketing expertise for the benefit of organisations such as the British Red Cross, British Lung Foundation, National Deaf Children's society, Queens’ College Cambridge, Carers UK and the Health Education Authority.
Ian has qualifications in business and has a master’s degree in marketing management. He is a member of the chartered institute of marketing and is a member of the institute of fundraising. He also works as a marketing consultant and has lectured at a number of universities on the subject.
Ian’s greatest achievement, apart from raising millions of pounds for good causes, has been in the encouragement and development of staff. Setting innovative corporate and personal goals, he loves helping individuals achieve their potential and, as a result, is now dedicated to coaching people in a business environment and on a personal level. He enjoys the challenge of helping people recognise their potential, setting goals, stretching them and seeing the fulfilment of dreams.
